Football is a sport which is played by 11 players on each team. including 1 goalkeeper in one team and the other team. Also there is one referee that is on the pitch with the players. He is mostly known as the main referee. Also there are two lines men which look for off-sides, making every player fair for each team. This is why football is mostly a fair and well organised game.
So what are the rules and regulations:
When playing a professional football match the surface has to be natural this is because, when having a natural surface in a football game, this allows players to identify what boots they should wear, also making sure that the weather is correct for there footwear. This then allows them to make a decision of what footwear they should wear. By making the right decision this will then allow them to have a decreased chance of getting injured.
The dimensions of the touch line MUST BE longer then the goal line. This then allows the goal to be in the centre of the line making the goal being inline with the other side of the pitch. This then lead to everything becoming equal.
Also the surface has to be GREEN. This is because must meet the requirements of the FIFA Quality Programme.
-
Each team has to start with 11 players on the pitch including 1 goal keeper on each team at the start of the game. The keeper is only allowed to use his hands in his area, (the penalty box) if passing the ball to the goal keeper he can only use his feet to have control of the ball. however the keeper can be tackled by the other player if he is outside the box or inside.
- when a player tackles the opponent and he/she misses the ball, the referee will blow the whistle, leading to the game being stopped. The referee will have to make a decision by giving a warning to the player, a yellow card or a red card straight away depending how bad the tackle was on the opponent.
- Another rule would be the offside rule. This is when a player would receive the ball while he is behind the defending side of the other team. If the player gets the ball behind the defender, the lines men will blow the whistle, telling the player that he was offside. However to avoid the offside, the player has too make a run from the front of the defender to the back of the defending line. however while this is happening. the ball has to be kicked first and then the player could make the certain run.
- The match contains 45min in each half with a 15min break after the first half. altogether the game is 90. however depending what match it is. for example, if the match that is being played is the finals, the game will contain extra time which lead to each half being 15min. All together being 30min. however if the tie is still not broken, the game will go in to penalties.
-
The Pitch has to be about 120 yard long and 75 yard wide.
Scoring System
The way to score is by having the ball behind the line which the goal is set on by the ball passing the line, this will lead in to GOAL! Giving the team 1 point By this happening the score will change from 0-0 to 1-0. this is how the score is added up in a game. Every goal lead to 1 point. By the team winning a game they will go up in the league table by 3 points. However if it’s a draw they will gain 1 point. But if they lose they will not gain any point and they will not go negative. The points on the table will stay the same for that certain team.
in this video clip i received the ball from my team mate, i used my footwork to control the ball, this then allows me to get control over the ball to then allowing me to make the right decision. the decision that i made was an outside foot pass to my teammate. I passed the ball straight towards his feet using my accuracy an vision to make the correct play. After the pass i used my explosive acceleration to ran toward the side of the goal to create another opportunity. However i did not receive the ball because the gap has closed giving my team mate the opportunity to change the direction of the ball that’s been played.
conditional practice- Full video
In this video we had to focus on one touch passing. this is really important as, when having the ball you touch the ball at the same time you pass, making the ball leave your body quickly without getting tackled or injured by the tackle.
In this practise i choose to you my strong foot as it works really well for me to pass the ball accurately back to the thrower. Also when i receive the ball i use my vision to see where the ball is being thrown at. Mostly the ball was thrown to my right side which let me use my right foot. So as the ball is being thrown, i use my vision and reaction timing to make sure i feet the ball. also i choose to use the inside of my foot to kick back the ball to the thrower, because it gives me more of a chance kicking the ball accurately back to his hands.

Strengths: My strengths are that I have great touches with the ball, this means that I am able to control the ball very well, for example if I receive a long ball from the other side of the pitch I will be able to control the ball, leading me in controlling the ball and not loosing it while I take the touch , also leading to another strength my passing is really accurate this leads me in becoming a successful playmaker , this is because of the vison and the accuracy of my passing, being able to pass the ball to my teams feet. This then leads me in to making a play which can be affected with my team scoring a goal. Also by having a skill such as accurate passing, this then means that I will be able to make different plays, without loosing possession.
Weaknesses: One of my weakness are that my dribbling is not really effective. If my dribbling was effective I would be able to pass my opponents quickly and deliver the ball to my teammate or a goal to my team, making us lead the game or e or even up the game . Another weakness is that I could make batter chances for my teams to create chances for my teammates so they could score a goal or create another opportunity for them self’s or are teammate Making me gain an assist or a pass to assist.
To improve my first weakness I could work on dribbling drills, making my dribbling stronger and more effective on the pitch. To improve the I would need to work 3-4 times a week so by performance could be increased. My second weakness, to improve would be I would need to gain more experience and more confidence on the pitch, leading me becoming more confident in giving out great passes and making great chances for my teammates. Also another way I could improve my creation of chances is that I could focus on play-making drills. For example pass, pass cut drills.
